      Deputy Director Information (DDI) Jammu, Dr Rehana Akhter Bijli- the visiting officer of Panchayat Aghar Ballian of District Ressi conducted a host of activities in the area under the flagship Government-public interface “Back to Village” edition fourth program.     

 

She interacted with PRI members as well as the general public of the area and took a detailed appraisal of their grievances and problems during her two day stay in the allotted Panchayat.

 

On her arrival, the local Public warmly welcomed the officer. They highlighted their grievances and suggested various measures for overall development of their village(s).

 

On the second day, the Visiting officer, accompanied by Local Sarpanch, Isha Rani and Liaison Officer, Anil Sharma attended Cultural event, Mahila/Bal Sabha, Gandhi Katha and interacted with students, teachers at Government Middle School Aghar Ballian. She also took English & Math classes to assess the quality of education being imparted in the school. She urged the school management and teachers to pay more attention towards children and keep a close watch on their activities to save them from the disaster of addiction and drug abuse.

 

The Visiting officer also participated in plantation drive/ Sports activities and urged the students to actively participate in the sports activities for their all round development.

 

She informed the participants that the aim of the campaign was to energize Panchayats, collect feedback on the delivery of government services, capture specific economic potential and assess the needs of the villagers.

 

Earlier, the Visiting Officer distributed Mamta kits, Soil health cards, Sehat cards among the local beneficiaries.
