Oct 15: A day long program on “Nayi Soch” an initiative of awareness on women welfare schemes was held in north Kashmir’s Sopore school on Saturday.
The program was organised by Zonal Education Office Dangerpora In-collaboration with district social welfare Baramulla at Government Boys HSSS Dangerpora Sopore in which Gh Nabi Sumji,principal Hr. secondary Dangerpora,Zeo Dangerpora Mr Fayaz Ahmad Bhat CDPO Zaingeer Sajad Ahmad, the Zaingeer athele Ronak Riyaz Baba besides zonal resource group were present on the occasion.
Pertinently, “Nayi Soch” an initiative aims at creating a world where women in distress will be able to come out of the distressed situation by taking help of this initiative.
Women in distress will be given medical counseling by the one stop centre- an affiliation of district hub for empowerment of women.
This initiative was launched by district administration Baramulla last month.
Speaking on the occasion Ronak Riyaz an international martial art player threw light on women empowerment.
She said women play an important role in the development of families, communities and nations.
She said parents should promote gender equality and help prevent violence against women.
She said women are the key to sustainable development and quality of life in the family. The varieties of role the women assume in the family are those of wife, leader, administrator, manager of family income and last but not the least important the mother.
On the occasion different cultural programs were presented including Ladi-Shah and Kashmiri rouf dance.
On the closing ceremony of this informative program students appealed authorities to conduct such programs in near future also which not only boosts them with real information but helps them to grow professionally for choosing right track for their successful career.
