ANANTNAG, OCTOBER 12: A two days district level awareness cum training programme regarding implementation of Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) started today at District Programme Office Poshan, Anantnag.
The Training was attended by Dr Bushra Medical Officer, Master Trainers Junaid Amin, Shabina Bashir, Shabnam Salam and 56 Supervisors of different projects of Anantnag district.
Master Trainers while interacting with the supervisors emphasized the importance of ECCE. The participants were given awareness on Brain development of child, Play way method of inculcating skills during initial years of a child.
Besides, the Medical Officer highlighted the importance of healthy nutrition among beneficiaries and measures for identification of SAM (Severely Acute Malnourished) and MAM children (Moderately Acute Malnourished).
The Participants were acquainted with the implementation of Poshan Tracker at ground level and directed to impart training to field functionaries for effective implementation of Poshan Tracker Application.
The Poshan Tracker is an application used by the government to identify stunting, wasting, under-weight prevalence among children and last mile tracking of nutrition service delivery under its flagship POSHAN Abhiyan (Prime Minister Overarching Scheme for Holistic Nutrition).
