Kupwara 07 Oct 22: To congratulate and honor the students who notched exceptional results in Intra AGS Athletics meet 22 and Samved Seminar 22 Indian Army Kupwara Terriers organized a felicitation ceremony on 07 Oct 22 at Army Good will School Wayne Kupwara.
Intra AGS Athletics meet was organized by AGS Ziran under the aegis of Headquarters 15 Corps on 24 Sep 22. A total of 60 students from 06 different AGS schools of North zone had participated in this athletics meet in which the students of AGS, Wayne Kupwara performed brilliantly and bagged 04x gold and 04 x silver medals in different events. These young achievers Ms Munahil Javid, Gold (200 Mtr Sprint) Pirzada Ayan, Gold (100 Mtr Sprint) Aamir Shafi, Gold (800 Mtr Race) Danish Ahmad war, Gold (Javelin Throw) Ms Jameela majid, Silver (100 Mtr Sprint) Faizan Khursheed, Silver (Long Jump) were facilitated befittingly.
To revive the old age tradition of Kashmir and to encourage the youth of Kupwara to share their ideas on Syncretic Culture of kashmir a “Samved Seminar was organized by 28 Infantry Division on 02 Oct 22. In this Seminar a total of 35 students from different schools of Kupwara had participated in which Ms Sanan Rashid and Ms Insha Fatima represented Army Good Will School, Wayne Kupwara and bagged top two positions in Cat-I and Cat-II.
All these young achievers expressed their gratitude to Indian Army, their teachers and parents for their effortless support. Col Swaraj Bhattacharya, Secretary, AGS Wayne Kupwara expressed his appreciation and congratulated the students for bringing laurels to the institution AGS by their excellent sports and extracurricular accomplishments thereby inspiring others.
Indian Army remains in the forefront of encouraging youth to participate in sports and enabling them to achieve glory in various sporting activities.
