Department of Geology and Mining Samba hosts one day workshop on e-challans and e-market place for stakeholders

SAMBA, AUGUST 29: Department of Geology and Mining Samba, in collaboration with District Administration, on Monday conducted one day workshop on e-challans and e-market place for the stakeholders here at Conclave Hall DC office.

All stakeholders, including lease holders, Crusher unit holders, Mineral dealer license holders and consumers which included NHAI executing agencies were present in a day long training session. The event was held to acquaint the stakeholders with the working of e-governance initiative of the department which was launched by the Chief Secretary of UT of Jammu and Kashmir, Dr Arun Kumar Mehta.

Speaking on the occasion, District Mineral officer, Samba Mohammad Sayeed informed the stakeholders that   the launch of e-challans and e-market place, the system will become transparent and easy to work with greater accountability.

Training session was presided over by Joint Director H L Langey along with Nodal Officer e-market web portal Dr Rajinder Singh. The Joint Director asked all stakeholders to immediately install weighing bridge and shift to e-market place at once.

Dr Rajinder, while concluding the session, gave hands on training to all stakeholders.
