Jammu: Minister for FCS&CA, Transport, Youth Service Sports, , Satish Sharma, on Friday visited camp, where several families from Pargwal sector and other catchment areas have taken refuge following intense cross-border shelling.

“The safety and dignity of every citizen is our utmost priority,” said the Minister. “We are fully committed towards ensuring that those affected by the cross-border violence do not face any further hardship. I have directed the district administration to ensure all necessary facilities, including adequate shelter, food, drinking water, medical aid and sanitation are made available without delay.”
The Minister also reviewed the relief operations and took stock of the arrangements made at the camp. He instructed the officials to maintain regular health check ups, proper sanitation and timely distribution of essential commodities. He asked the concerned to give special attention to children, elderly and women to ensure their specific needs are met.
He appreciated the swift response of the district administration, security forces and civil society volunteers who are working tirelessly to provide relief and maintain peace and order during the crisis.
