Dir YSS Visits Gurez to take review of Departmental Activities

Aug 27: Director Youth Services & Sports J&K along with JD Kashmir and JD Jammu of the Department visited the beautiful Gurez valley of district Bandipora to take a review of the sports activities being conducted at the far-off area. The locals especially sports lovers warmly welcomed all the dignitaries and apprised them about the possibilities for developing Gurez as a hub of adventure sports. While paying visit to famous Habba khatoon Sports stadium, Director reviewed the ongoing sports activities conducted by the Department under Samriddhi Seema Yogna and encouraged the local youth for their mass participation in sports activities. Many top niche sports persons of the area were felicitated by the Department of YSS for their dedication and commitment towards the great cause.

Director YSS also visited block Tulail and inspected sports infrastructure and further assured argumentation of the sports infrastructure in the sub- division.
A meeting was also conducted with the field staff during the visit. Physical Education staff was asked to take keen interest in promoting sports talent in the school children and non school going youth in the best possible manner.
