14 AUGUST 2022, Pattan. Indian Army inaugurated 108 feet High National Flag at Hyderbaigh, Pattan on Saturday. Major General SS Slaria General Officer Commanding Kilo Force dedicated it to the Martyrs of the Nation and the population of Kashmir.
Major General SS Slaria inaugurated the National Flag in the presence of Commander, 10 Sector Rashtriya Rifles, Brigadier Alok Dash, Sena Medal and various military and civil dignitaries.
The flag constructed in collaboration with Flag Foundation of India not only instills a sense of pride and honour amongst the locals and Army but also honours all the brave martyrs of the nation who laid down their lives fighting terrorism.
The project is the initiative of 10 Sector Rashtriya Rifles as part of Har Ghar Tiranga under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav initiative of the Government of India to instill pride in our Tiranga amongst the populace. The installation of the high mast was completed in a record time of 30 days.
Major General SS Slaria appreciated the efforts of all those involved in completion of the project. Awaam of Hyderbaigh Pattan also thanked the District administration and the Army for gifting their area such a monument which is unique and historical and will remain embedded in the history of Pattan, North Kashmir forever.
