Srinagar, 18 Jul 2022. A Veterans Rally under the aegis of Forever in Operations Division was organised by Kargil Sentinels Brigade in Kaksar on 18 July 2022 to reach out to Veterans and Veer Naris of Kargil district. The focus of the Rally, held in close coordination with the Zila Sainik Board and State Administration, was to address various grievances of veterans, resolve various pension related anomalies and amelioration of other routine issues.
The rally witnessed participation of 122 veterans and 10 veer naris from far flung areas and a healthy interactive session between them and defence, as well as civil officials. A large number of issues were addressed and others were noted for follow up action with various related institutions. The rally was also attended by prominent members of civil society.
Veterans were reassured that their welfare and well-being remains a prime concern of the serving fraternity. The veterans, veer naris and their kin expressed their sincere gratitude for the efforts being taken by the army to reach out to them.
