It is pertinent to mention here that the Chandi Mata shrine at Chandi Top is ancient and the Yatra being one of the important religious event of Saraj area in general and tehsil Bharat Bagla in particular is organised every year as per the age old practice from Chandi Mata temple Hanail Gadyari to Chandi Top Shiya Dhar . Chharri Mubarak (Holy Mace) from Chandi Mata temple Hanail Gadyari is taken to Shiya Dhar Chandi Top. Devotees worship the Deity in form of Chandi Manta or Chound Mata Mindhal Wali as the Holy Mace has been brought to Shiya Dhar from Mindhal in Pangi district of Himachal Pradesh centuries ago.
The Chandi Mata temple situated at an altitude of 3886 Meters from sea level was constructed during the year 1983 by Late Sh Tej Ram Gaddi of Dhori Gadyari and other prominet persons of the area. Since then the devotees use to visit there in an organized way. Earlier this yatra was being taken via Dhori, Barna but after the martyredom of Sh Tej Ram alogwith four family members on 13May 1995, it could not be continued and now it is being taken from the Mool Sthan situated at Hanail Gadyari.
