Indian Army Training Youth of Kupwara for recruitment under Agnipath Scheme

Agneepath Scheme has been a trending topic all over the country ever since its launch on June 14, 2022. Youth who enroll in the scheme or Agniveers would be given an opportunity to get enrolled in the Indian Army, Indian Navy and the Indian Air Force for a period of four years.

Indian Army has been continuously engaging and reaching out to youth of Kupwara to train them to accomplish their goals and be a part of mainstream nation building.

Continuing the same, Indian Army reached out to the Schools and Colleges in Kupwara to make students aware about the Agnipath Scheme. In this effort Indian Army reached out to more than 3000 students and not just educated them about the scheme but also motivated them to participate in it and thus contribute towards maintaining peace and prosperity of KashmirKashmir

Indian Army conducted screening cum awareness camps wherein the documents were checked and medical was conducted for more than 1128 volunteers who wanted to appear for the Agnipath scheme. Out of these 1128, 790 aspirants were found eligible. After a week of basic training and further screening, 290 aspirants were selected for one month training. Training has commenced in various COBs in Kupwara so that they perform their best and can be selected. The youth attending the training are fully motivated and full of zeal to clear the tests and become proud Agniveers.
