As the Eid-ul-Adha is around the corner , administration in Baramullah district has constituted market checking squads to ensure no black marketing and availability of standard and quality essential commodities across different markets in the district.
To keep the standard of different essential commodities indispensable for daily use, particularly on the eve of festivals, a Joint Marketing Squads consisting of District and Tehsil Level Monitoring Committees has been constituted.
In this aspect a major drive was carried out at Bomai and Tujar sharief areas followed by various other peripheral villages
The order stated that the committee shall visit markets regularly and impose fine against the defaulters, wherever necessary, so that black marketing, hoarding and profiteering is controlled.
The committee at tehsil level would be headed by Naib Tehsildar Bomai Mr Irshad Ahmad Mir,Storekeeper Basharat Ahmad,Police team of Police Station Bomai and other officials
A fine of 2000 was put on these erring shopkeepers and Expired items were destroyed on spot and vegetatable was also destroyed on spot by these officials.
