Srinagar, 08 Jul 2022.    Kargil Victory Flame brought from Durgmulla was received with full military honours at Nastachun pass (Sadhna Pass) by Army personnels, ex-servicemen and youth. It was escorted to Chhamkot War Memorial on 7th July 2022. The ex-servicemen of the area along with locals especially youth were also present on the occasion. The flame was accorded a warm welcome by the people throughout Karnah. On 8th July the Victory Flame was taken to Tithwal to celebrate the military triumph over our adversary. It was brought back to Chhamkot War Memorial, wherein army personnels and ex-Servicemen laid wreaths in honour of our valiant men, who laid their lives in the service of the motherland. 19 war veterans of the 1999 Kargil war and six Veer Naris were also felicitated on the occasion for their great service to the nation. After the event at Chhamkot, Victory Flame was ceremoniously handed over to Sentinels of Keran Brigade for onward journey to Keran, Machhal and Dawar
