MTCs distributed among 10 beneficiaries at Anantnag

ANANTNAG, JULY 6: Motorized Tricycles were distributed among ten specially abled beneficiaries here at DC Office Anantnag today. While Additional Deputy Commissioner Anantnag Gulzar Ahmad handed over the keys to the beneficiaries on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, the ADC lauded the District Social Welfare Office for timely disbursal of benefits among the beneficiaries. He said that the department has been carrying out awareness regarding various welfare schemes including prosthetic aids, marriage assistance, social security pensions etc to ensure complete coverage of eligible persons in the district.

The ADC appealed to eligible people to come forward and apply for benefits under the relevant schemes. He advised the SAPs to avail benefits under multiple schemes like self employment, Health and UDID Cards, etc for their sustainable empowerment.

The beneficiaries thanked the department and said that such interventions aid them in their day to day activities.

The officials of SW informed that in coming days the MTCs will also be handed over to other sanctioned beneficiaries after due formalities are completed.

DSWO Anantnag, employees from social welfare, beneficiaries and members of the media fraternity were present on the occasion.
