GANDERBAL, JUNE 30: Commissioner Secretary Revenue, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri today early morning flagged off first batch of pilgrims of Shri Amarnath ji Yatries from Domail-Baltal to holy cave.

District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Shyambir; SSP Ganderbal, Nikhil Borkar, ADC Ganderbal, Farooq Ahmad Baba, Camp Director Baltal, Camp Director Domail, besides other officials from District administration, police and other security agencies were present on the occasion.

The first batch of 6823 Shri Amarnath Ji Yatries, consisting of 5384 male, 1293 female, 48 children and 98 Sadhus were flagged off at around 5 am. The pilgrims were enthusiastic when they stepped towards the Holy Cave.

Pertinently, all the necessary arrangements with regard to the basic amenities, healthcare and security arrangements have been put in place enroute to the Holy Cave for the convenience of the Yatries.
