ANANTNAG  JUNE 08: Awareness programme was organized by One Stop Centre Anantnag at Super Computer College. The programme was presided by chairman of Hilal Institute, Syed A. R Hilal and was attended by incharge Special Cell for Women  Tariq Ahmad and District Coordinator Mahila Shakti Kendra Sabeena.

A good no. of participants attended the programme. During the programme the participants were informed that the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Govt of India has formulated a centrally sponsored scheme popularly known as Sakhi to provide support and assistance to women affected by violence.

During the programme, the Centre Administrator of OSC greeted the participants with a warm welcome and explained various services provided by One Stop Centre.

Apart from that she informed the women to remain aware of women’s rights to safeguard themselves and others.

Police facilitation Officer and counselor of OSC also highlighted women should be aware of safety and violence taking place within their home and around.

In charge Special Cell for Women, Tariq Ahmad also explained about legal rights.
