NSS Units of Padma Shri Padma Sachdev Govt PG College for Women Gandhi Nagar celebrated World Environment Day

JAMMU, JUNE 05: NSS Units of  Padma Shri Padma Sachdev Government P.G. College for Women Gandhi Nagar, Jammu  celebrated World Environment Day 2022 by organising poster making on the theme – ‘’ Only One Earth’’ and Plantation of Saplings by NSS Volunteers.

A total of 85 students participated in the event and gave message to protect our earth in their posters. They also focused to keep and maintain our local bodies clean by not using polythene bags and by planting more green and shady trees.

NSS volunteers spread their message in posters to save the planet by planting trees, by keeping water bodies clean. In the second day of the event NSS volunteers planted Saplings in their homes and localities and spread a message that we should plant more trees to keep our planet and environment green. Prof. Mala Bhasin, NSS Programme Officer (Unit-1) appreciated and encourage students to take part in such activities. Dr. Monika Hans, NSS Programme Officer (Unit-2). She threw light on the importance to keep earth green.

Prof. Minu Mahajan, the Principal of the College appreciated the efforts of NSS PO’S and Volunteers for organising this event.
