COMBINED ANNUAL TRAINING CAMP HELD AT KHREW

Srinagar, 02 Jun 2022.   3 J&K Bn NCC Baramulla part of NCC Group Srinagar conducted NCC Training Camps at Uri, Baramulla, Boniyar in 2020-21 and across Shamshabari ridge at Machhil, Gurez,Tangdhar and Keran in 2021-22, covering entire North Kashmir. The Battalion has now opened avenues to conduct NCC Training Camps in South Kashmir as well. For the first time in the history of the Battalion, Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) was conducted at CBS Khrew, with coordination of the Security Forces. Security Forces provided all types of assistance, including infrastructure and security cover. This camp was for 10 days from 24 May to 02 Jun 22.

250 cadets, both boys and girls, from all districts of North and South Kashmir, Leh region along with cadets from Jammu and adjoining areas took part. During the camp the cadets were trained in PT, Drill, service subjects, community programmes, obstacle training & vultural events. The camp allowed integration of cadets from Jammu and Kashmir region, which benefitted them tremendously.  Brig Kuldeep Singh Kalsi, Gp Cdr NCC Group  Srinagar, inspected the training on 27 May 2022. He provided valuable advice which were incorporated in the training.

Maj Gen Tejinder Kumar MP, ADG NCC Directorate JK&L visited the camp on    31 May 2022 and interacted with the cadets and inspired them to be good citizens of the country. He directed more such training camps should be conducted periodically to benefit the cadets.
