Firdous Baba, chief of J&K chapter of J&K Global Strategic Policy Pune, (GSPFP) organised today’s event in which RTO, Kashmir Sajid Naqash was the chief guest.
The event was organised to make Kashmir a drug free and corruption society.
Speakers who spoke on the occasion were Farooq Reshi advocate and president of Peace and Harmony Kashmir Chapter, Iqbal Wani, social activist, RTO Kashmir Sajid Naqash and others.
Every speaker vehemently stressed the need to increase the number drug de-addiction centres so that more and more youth who have ruined their lives due to drugs can be treated. Speakers urged parents of the youth involved in the menace to come forward and help government to eradicate drug abuse.
Addressing sizeable audience comprising of youth and children from different parts of the valley urged goverment to take more stringent measures against the rampant corruption. ‘No doubt UT administration has been cracking down on the corrupt officials and employees which has instilled fear among the corrupt. But ACB should form fast track courts like NIA to punish the accused on fast track basis.” Said Iqbal Wani, social activist.
After the marathon enthusiastic school children and youth chanted slogans of drug free and corruption free Kashmir.
