GANDERBAL, MAY 30: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir today chaired an introductory meeting with the members of District Development Council (DDC) Ganderbal.
The meeting was attended by DDC members, BDC Chairpersons besides, Additional District Development Commissioner, Khurshid Ahmad Shah, CPO, ACD, DPO and other concerned officers.
On the occasion, the DC highlighted the role and responsibilities of DDCs and other PRI members in proper implementation of welfare schemes and monitoring of ongoing development projects to take the developmental scenario to newer heights in the district.
During interaction the DDC members apprised the DC about various issues confronting to their areas particularly removal of encroachment at Safapora, encroachment along road sides, dredging and desilting of various irrigation canals, macdamization, land compensation of various roads under PMGSY and other issues.
While replying the issues raised, the DC assured them of full cooperation on part of the district administration within the ambit of rules in mitigating the issues and grievances of people.
The DDC members also shared their valuable suggestions with regard to development and assured their full support to district administration in implementation of various beneficiary oriented schemes.
The DC reiterated that the district administration is committed to ensure equitable development of all panchayats of the district and in this regard he sought their cooperation.
