Srinagar, 14 May 2022. Plantation drive was organized in Keran Sector in an effort to avoid soil erosion, damage to operational tracks and play the crucial military role by acting as view cutters. Army had aggressively undertaken afforestation last year & 4550 saplings were planted with focus on ensuring survivability of maximum saplings. On 14 May 22, 1000 saplings of Kail and Deodar were planted by troops in Keran Sector in continuation of the effort. This drive is aimed at gradually, systematically and permanently enhancing the forest cover.
