May 07: Police in Bandipora alongwith security forces have arrested 02 hybrid terrorists linked with proscribed terror outfit HM. Incriminating materials, arms and ammunition have been recovered from their possession.
On a specific input regarding movement of terrorists from Bandipora to Srinagar, a joint checkpoint was established by Police, Army (13RR) & CRPF (3rd BN) near Wullar Vantage Aragam. While conducting search of pedestrians & vehicles, 02 individuals were observed moving suspiciously in an Alto Car bearing Registration No. JK13G-6139, who tried to conceal their identity on seeing the Naka party. On being challenged, the suspicious persons tried to break the checkpoint and were tactfully apprehended.
The arrested duo has been identified as Abid Ali son of Ali Mohd Parray and Faisal Hassan Parray son of Gh Hassan Parray both residents of Herpora Achan Pulwama. During search of the both individuals and vehicle, incriminating materials, arms and ammunition including 01 AK-47 rifle, 02 Magazines with 30 live Rounds, 01 Pistol, 01 Magazine with 04 live Rounds and 04 Pistol fired cases were recovered. The vehicle used in the commission of crime has also been seized.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law stands registered in Police Station and further investigation is in progress.
