Police- Media fraternity interaction meeting held in Budgam

May 07:  SSP Budgam Shri Tahir Saleem Khan-JKPS along with other police officers of Budgam held a detailed interaction with media fraternity associated with print and electronic media  at DPL Budgam.

The meeting was attended by ASP Budgam Shri Gowhar Ahmad-JKPS, DySP Hqrs, DySP DAR Budgam, SDPO Magam, SDPO Charar-e-Sharief, SDPO Khansahib and other officers of Budgam Police.

SSP Budgam highlighted the importance and role of media in a democratic setup by describing media as an important pillar of democracy. While appreciating their role, he called for a mutual coordination with regard to reformation of society by eradicating social evils from the society. He also assured the media persons that all the issues discussed in the meeting will be taken care of at the earliest and enjoined upon them to imbibe professional value and be committed for the welfare of public.

During meeting, various issues having bearing on the society were discussed. Media fraternity members also put forth a series of suggestions of public importance and chairing officer assured to take all these on priority.

The participating media personnel assured their full cooperation with police and also appreciated the efforts of police in facilitating such interaction meets where participants can express their opinion freely.
