DLSA Kathua orgainses legal awareness camp on NLSA

KATHUA, MAY 06:  District Legal Services Authority, Kathua organized a legal awareness camp on NALSA (Legal services to the Victims of Drug Abuse and Eradication of Drug Menace), Scheme, 2015 here at District Jail and District Court Complex, the other day.

The programmes were held under the overall supervision of Chairman District Legal Services Authority, Jaffer Hussain Beg for the benefit of inmates of prisoners as well as advocates, staff of district judiciary and litigants.

During the programme, a team of Dental Surgeons from Indira Gandhi Government Dental College Jammu headed by Dr. Iqbal Singh spread  awareness amongst the participants  about dangers of drug abuse as well as its relation with oral health. The team of doctors also demonstrated ways for maintaining oral hygiene.

Besides, the team of doctors conducted dental check up of the inmates of District Jail Kathua,  the advocates, Para Legal Volunteers and the staff of District Judiciary.

Panel Lawyers Advocate Sumit Jasrotia and Naiya Sharma were the resource persons for the programmes. They shed light on various provisions of NALSA (Legal services to the Victims of Drug Abuse and Eradication of Drug Menace), Scheme, 2015.
