Implementation of SAGY discussed in Ganderbal

GANDERBAL, APRIL 28: The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Ganderbal, Khurshid Ahmad Shah today chaired a meeting of officers to discuss the implementation of Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY) project to be taken up for Gram Panchayat Shalabugh-A.

During the meeting, threadbare discussion was held upon the objectives of SAGY and activities/development works to be taken  for effective implementation of  SAGY for the identified Panchayat.

The ADDC said that the objective of the SAGY is to trigger processes which will lead to holistic development of the identified Gram Panchayat. He directed all the line departments to carry brief survey of the said Panchayat and prepare the list of activities that could be carried out to improve the standard of living and quality of life of all sections of the population by way of improving basic amenities.

He further said that the development plan shall mainly focus on improved basic amenities, enhanced human development, better livelihood opportunities, Maximizing green coverage, achieving zero carbon emissions, growth on socio-economic parameters, school education development, 24*7 availability of water, Electricity, irrigation facility and others.

He urged upon all the line departments that the activities to be taken in the identified Gram Panchayat shall be as per the guidelines of the SAGY.

 The meeting was attended by CPO, ACD, ACP, GM DIC Ganderbal besides other district officers.
