INDIAN ARMY ORGANISES IFTAAR AT SULKOOT AND KALAROOS

In yet another effort to turn the tide in favour of progress and achievement by youth and towards strengthening the communal harmony between AWAM and JAWAN, Indian Army organised Iftaar Dinner for youth at Tak Zaingiri Memorial Boys hostel & Basera-e-Tabassum Girls Orphanage in Sulkoot and Kalaroos block of Kupwara. On this special occasion representatives from local administration and prominent personalities gathered together and expressed their solidarity with India Army in maintaining peace and tranquility in the region.

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, and the month in which the Quran is believed to be revealed to the Islamic prophet Muhammad. Fasting during the month of Ramadan is one of the Five Pillars of Islam and thus signifies trust, harmony, cooperation and mutual respect for each other.
