Srinagar,23 April 2022.  Keran, a serene village in Kupwara, right on the Line of Control with mesmerising surroundings welcomed its first batch of adventure enthusiast of the season. The unexplored tourist destination, at the last mile in North Kashmir, along Kihanganga River hosted tourists from Flim City – Mumbai. They hit the remote unexplored beauty of Kupwara driving via the snowcapped Pharakian Gali at 10000 ft. The input on Keran was via the news channels and social media accounts that  highlighted the unmatched beauty of the area next to the border. Travelling a distance of 2200km, they were enthralled by the gorgeous landscape, meandering along the crystal clear water bodies after Pharkian.

The experience of enchanting natural beauty was further amplified with a warm welcome by the villagers, lip smacking home cooked local cuisine during home stay, smoked fish & bonfire combo, angling, trekking along the fence and the rich culture of this remote village. The icing on the cake being the interaction with brave soldiers guarding the frontiers. Kenye Wilson, Raj Chauhan and Sarfaraj Bagdadi, post a night halt, were elated with the experience of the underexplored serene destination away from the glitz, glamour and crowd. According to Sarfaraj Bagdadi, “Keran has the magical prowess to enlighten the soul, rejuvenate the mind and reinvigorate the life subdued in each human on the planet” – a must visit destination as one lands at Srinagar.
