Ganderbal, April 8:,Socio-political activist and District secretary Apni party Ganderbal Mohammad Amin Shah had interacted with the people of Ganderbal to draw attention of UT adminstration towards the problems faced by them due to traffic jams in the locality. While interacting with the locals and traders of district Ganderbal, they raised serious problems of worsening conditions of roads and the heavy traffic jams due to over burden of vehicles. The sufferings of people have been raised many times but unfortunately it never got administrative attention and people were left to suffer. Shah assured the people that he will take this issue with the administration and informed the people their sufferings have been already addressed with UT administration, and will keep raising it till resolution. While talking to people Shah said that he will again put the people’s demand of constructing bridge on Nallah Sindh connecting Paribal Ghat Chanduna-Shallabugh Ganderbal with Takenwari Srinagar to reduce the travel time to reach Ganderbal and reduce the traffic jams and vehicular burden on Ganderbal roads.

Shah in a statement said that there’s an urgent need of construction of bridge on River Sindh between Paribal Ghat Chanduna-Shallabugh Ganderbal to Takenwari Road Srinagar which will connect Ganderbal with Srinagar districts. This bridge will reduce the driving time by around one hour between Srinagar and Ganderbal. All the traffic from Srinagar to Ganderbal areas of Lar, Safapora, Kangan Sherpathri will get diverted to proposed road vis bridge and also will be convenient for people. This will also be an alternative to reduce the unresolved traffic jam in district Ganderbal. The bridge will connect Ganderbal by Shallabugh and Srinagar by Cement bridge and will provide with lot of scope for tourism as it passes by wetland area in Srinagar with lakhs of migratory birds. We have already informed about the possibility of construction of this bridge to LG Manoj Sinha in a meeting at mini secretariat and Raj Bhavan.

Shah further said that problems like Traffic jams and vehicular burden on Ganderbal roads has not been resolved from decades in Ganderbal. The condition of roads and traffic jams are the clear sign of administrative negligence, which need an urgent solution to end the sufferings of traders and people of Ganderbal.
