Continuing unwavering efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the Police District, Sopore Police arrested two more drug peddlers and recovered Huge Quantity of contraband substance from their possession.

A joint naka by a team of Police Station Panzla and PC Rafiabad was established at Naidhal crossing and during checking one vehicle bearing registration No. JK01N 5535 was intercepted. Going through checking of the vehicle a bag containing charas like substance weighing 1500 grams was recovered from the possession of drug peddlers namely, Muhammad Shafi Shah S/O Ali Muhammad R/O Takiya Wagoora Baramulla and Showkat Ahmad Mir S/O Farooq Ahmad R/O Nehalpora Pattan. Both the accused were arrested and vehicle used in commission of crime was seized. Regarding the incident, Case with FIR No 19/2022 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered in Police Station Panzla investigation has been initiated.

General public of Police District Sopore are requested to come forward anytime and join hands to support us, so that we together can uproot the evil of Drug menace and other anti-social activities from the society and also timely action will be taken against the offenders.
