Cultural Wing DIPR Jammu hosts Cultural Program at Ramban

RAMBAN, MARCH 24: A Cultural Program on Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav and Tuberculosis awareness was today organized here at Prayas Hemkrish High School Ramban by the Cultural Wing of the Department of Information and Public Relations Jammu in collaboration with District Information Centre Ramban.

Deputy District Election Officer, Lal Chand was the chief Guest, while S.K Atri Headmaster of the School was guest of honour.

Appreciating the Culture unit of DIPR for organizing a cultural bonanza, the Deputy District Election Officer also sensitized the participants about the electoral process and importance of one vote. He also informed the participants about the ‘National Voter Awareness Contest’  “My vote in My Future- Power of one vote” launched by the Election Commission of India on 12th National Voters’ day to reiterate the importance of every vote through creative expression. There are five categories of contests as part of the national level contest which includes Quiz, Slogan, Song, Video Making and Poster Designing Contest, he added and said that participants shall go through detailed     guidelines, terms & conditions on the contest website https://ecisveep.nic.in/contest/

In her address, S.K Atri congratulated the DIPR and participating students for their impressive cultural activities and speeches.

Artists of Cultural Wing Jammu and District Information Centre Udhampur presented a scintillating cultural programme featuring   Patriotic and folk Songs.

The Artists Kamal Kumar, Mohinder Kumar, Balbir Singh and Rakesh Kumar along with school students presented the cultural programme.
