SSP Budgam chairs crime/security review meeting

March 16: SSP Budgam Shri Tahir Saleem-JKPS today chaired a crime/security review meeting with all SDPOs and SHOs at District Police Headquarters Budgam.

           The meeting was also attended by ASP Budgam Shri Gowhar Ahmad-JKPS, DySP Hqrs Budgam, DySP DAR DPL Budgam, and DySP Ops Budgam.

           During the meeting, Law and Order scenario and various security measures were discussed for ensuring peace and stability in the district. During meeting, aspects of policing including investigation of cases, prosecution, crime/complaints disposal and other issues related to accountable policing were also discussed.

           Addressing the officers, SSP Budgam reiterated the importance of maintaining close synergy between Police and other agencies to meet the security challenges. He urged upon the officers to strengthen the general security grid of their respective areas of responsibility besides taking stringent action against those involved in anti national and anti social activities. He stressed upon the officers to speed up the disposal of all pending cases especially disposal of ULPA cases, disposal of NDPS cases besides, mechanism of protection of  civilians & protected persons was discussed and directions were passed.

           SSP Budgam also directed the officers to adopt a public-centric approach and to ensure redressal of their grievances.
