PULWAMA, MARCH 16: As part of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’, the District Information Centre (DIC) Pulwama today organized a Mehfil-e-Mushaira in collaboration with District Cultural Society Pulwama, here.
The renowned poet and academician, Gh Rasool Mashkoor presided over the function.
On the occasion, the poets recited latest poetry in local Kashmiri and Urdu languages and mesmerized the audience.
The district has rich cultural ethos and traditions, which needs to be carried forward to the new generations and the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) has always been providing a platform to uphold and sustain this rich culture.
In his address, Gh Rasool complimented the efforts of the Information Department in organizing literary and Cultural activities in the district.
He exhorted upon the fair-minded and knowledgeable budding youth of the district to come forward and take part in the cultural and artistic activities in the district.
The poets who participated in the Musharia include Gh Rasool Mashkoor, Shamas Saleem, Jalal-ud-din Dilnawaz, GH Mohammad Dilshad, Gh Mohammad Jangalnadi, AB Rashid, Ashaq Ishtiyaq, Taj un Nisa, Mir Ab Ahad, AB Rehman Mir, Javeed Kalmi, Mushtaq Muzroob, and Sheikh Gulzar.
