Wushu gold medalist Sadia Tariq on reaching Bhopal Airport today was welcomed by hanging the garlands and presenting bouquets. Drums were also played to welcome the golden girl from Kashmir.
Sadia tariq who won Gold medal in Moscow wushu star championship reaches Bhopal for trials in view of upcoming youth Asian games. The trials will be held on 14th and 15th March 2022.
Sadia was felicitated not only by sports persons but received appreciation from one and all for her brilliant achievement in the world of sports.
This is pertinent to mention that Prime Minister Narendra Modi also took to social media to wish the young Wushu champion. “Congratulations to Sadia Tariq on winning the Gold medal at the Moscow Wushu Stars Championship. Her success will inspire many budding athletes. Wishing her the very best for her future endeavours”, PM Modi said in a tweet.
While expressing his gratitude to the people of Bhopal, Sadia’s father Tariq Lone who is a senior video journalist said that it is like a dream that his daughter not only made him proud but got laurels for the country.
