Induction ceremony for second batch of MBBS students held in GMC Doda

DODA, MARCH 07: The induction ceremony for the second batch of MBBS students was conducted at Government Medical College Doda  in presence of the Principal Dr Noor Ali  and Founder Principal Dr Tariq Parvez Azad, here on Monday.

 In his address, the students were addressed by the Principal of GMC Doda and stressed on imbibing punctuality, discipline and dedication.

Dr Tariq Parvez Azad, while addressing the gathering, enlightened the students about the future challenges, prospective and ways to emerge successful in their chosen noble profession.

It was informed that NMC has started Charak Shapath instead of conventional Hippocratic Oath for Medical students, from the current session.

The students were administered the Charak Shapath by Prof. (Dr.) Rakesh Sharma, MEU Coordinator, GMC Doda, who also conducted the proceedings during the induction ceremony.

The students of GMC Doda were made to adorn the aprons by Principal and faculty members. Then students were administered the Cadaver oath by Dr. K.K. Thakur, HOD of the Anatomy Department.

An interactive session between the students and the Faculty was also conducted wherein all the students introduced themselves to the faculty and faculty was also introduced to students.

Dr. Mohammad Younis Shah, HOD Medicine, delivered his maiden orientation lecture to the newly entered MBBS students in the GMC Doda.
