Srinagar, Feb 27: Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation (Kuchay Building) has started bringing all trade associations and parties under one banner and has started a series of meetings with representatives and heads of various trade associations. During a meeting in Srinagar, the businessmen were invited to come under the common platform of the trade alliance for their welfare.
The meeting was also attended by Kashmir Economic Alliance Co-Chairman Farooq Ahmed Dar, KTMF Chairman Muhammad Rajab Kochay and Vice President Fayaz Ahmed Bhat. On the occasion, Farooq Ahmad Dar said that the policy of division of trade associations has discouraged traders as well as business interests. He said that the initiative taken by bringing traders under one roof would be completed and the outreach campaign would continue. He said that a series of meetings with more business leaders and representatives of associations would be started in the coming days. Dar said that the traders have suffered irreparable losses while the situation arising out of August 5 and after the covid has caused a loss of about Rs 50,000 crore.
President Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation Muhammad Rajab Kuchay assured the traders that the initiative taken by the government will continue at all times for the betterment of trade and business.
Announcing his support for the alliance, Fayaz Ahmed Bhat said that he believed that unity in trade associations is the need of time. He said that he has been active in the alliance for a long time. Appreciating the efforts of KEA Co chairman Faroq Ahmed Dar, he also agreed with the proposal of alliance on a platform of traders and said that the problems of traders can be solved only by uniting.
Secretary Contractors Coordination Committee Arshad Ahmed Bhat, Sheikh Hilal, Muhammad Ayub Lawey, Tahir Ahmed Dar, Ejaz Ahmed Bhat, Javed Ahmed Khan and others were also present.
