The Mendhar Gunners under the aegis of ACE of SPADES Gunners conducted an interactive career counselling session for students of Muqaddas Academy in Mendhar on 18 Feb 2022. Approx. 150 students of Class 11th and 12th both boys and girls attended the counselling session.
During the session, the students were educated on the various entry schemes through which they can join Indian Armed Forces. The Advantages of a career in the Indian Army were also highlighted to the children to inspire them to pursue a profession dedicated to the service of the country. The lecture was conducted by young lady officers posted in Mendhar. They not only shared their own experiences about the armed forces but also inspired the young students to choose the career of their choice. They shared the essential information about various career options after class 12th to include Medical , Non-medical and commerce streams. The lecture later covered various options to join the Armed Forces especially the options related to girl students. Girl students were specially motivated by the real life stories narrated by Lt Damini and Lt Amreen posted in Mendhar Garrison.
Mrs Reena Devi W/o martyr Assistant Sub Inspector Babu Ram, Ashok Chakra, the chief guest of the occasion appreciated the efforts of the commanding officer, Mendhar gunners for the event. This thoughtful lecture was understood by all the students and they all encouraged the contribution of Indian Armed Forces towards the country.
The event was organized in close co-ordination & support from the school & civil administration. The Garrison Commander also thanked and appreciated the efforts of Mr Muneer Hossain Shah, Chairman, Muqaddas Degree College for his contributions in education field for children of Mendhar Town.
By organising this informative events the Mendhar Gunners under the aegis of ACE of SPADES has taken up the responsibility of uplifting the community and is performing it with full zest and enthusiasm.
