Sopore, 11 February 2022:
On a reliable information provided by a diligent citizen, Police post Putkha of Sopore police led by Incharge Insp. Sajad Ahmad under the supervision of SDPO Sopore Shri. Furqan Qadir-JKPS and SHO Tarzoo Insp. Bilal Khanday raided in Sangrama orchards and arrested four (04) gamblers.
From the site Stake money of Rupees 1,03,000 alongwith playing cards were recovered and seized on spot and all the gamblers were arrested.
In this connection case FIR No 13/2022, U/S 13 of Gambling Act has been registered at Police Station Tarzoo and investigation has been started.
This is in continuation of efforts of Sopore Police to curb the social crimes and immoral activities. Citizens are requested to come forward and share information for eradication of same.
