POONCH, JANUARY 31: Deputy Commissioner Poonch Inder Jeet today flagged off 3 Ambulances to strengthen healthcare facilities in the border district. The health institutions who get newly ambulances include PHC Loran of Block Mandi, PHC Fazlabad of Block Surankote and PHC Bhatadurian of Block Mendhar.
It is informed that already district Poonch is having 8 vehicles regarding 108 services by NHM, J&K and now including three more, a total number of 11 ambulances have been available in the district.
During the event Chief Medical Officer, Poonch Dr. G.A Malik , Medical Superintendent, Dr. Mushtaq Hussain Jafri besides staff members of health were present.
While speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that these ambulance service will fill health infrastructural gap and further improve healthcare services by facilitating timely evacuation of needy patients in far flung areas in case of medical emergency and will certainly save precious lives.
He said that provision of ambulance service was the long pending demand of these areas and this will give big relief to people of the areas. He further said the public can call on 108 numbers for utilizing the service of Ambulance.
