Protest:  Paramedics and the Nursing staff of SKIMS demand extension

Srinagar, Jan 17: The Paramedics and the Nursing staff of SKIMS Soura here in Srinagar who are working on the academic arrangement basis for the last six months today staged a protest demanding the extension of their services.

   Paramedics and the Nursing staff assembled at Srinagar’s Press Enclave and appealed to government to extend their academic arrangement period. They said authorities had issued an order when they were engaged that clearly stated that they can continue till they are not regularized.

   The protestors told news agency Kashmir News Trust that they have been raising the issue, but no action has been taken so far.

   They said that they have been continuously working during turmoil and are still working during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

   “We have approached every corner but justice has been denied by the administration.

The protesting Paramedics and the Nursing staff appealed to the LG, Manoj Sinha to consider their issue regarding their extension and regularization. (KNT)
