Today, Deputy Inspector General of Police CKR Shri Sujit Kumar-IPS visited District Police Office Ganderbal and chaired a review meeting related to security scenario, law and order, Anti-drug drive, and other issues related to day-to-day policing.
The meeting was attended by SSP Ganderbal Shri Nikhil Borkar-IPS, Shri Yasir Qadri-JKPS SDPO Kangan, Shri Abdul Majid-JKPS HQ Ganderbal, Shri Muzaffar Jan-JKPS DySP DAR Ganderbal, Shri Manoj Kumar- JKPS PC Ganderbal and other senior Police officers of the District.
Various issues were discussed related to security scenario, status of crime of the district, its prevention and detection, drug abuse and various aspects of policing besides public oriented plans.
DIG CKR appreciated the efforts of Ganderbal Police for maintaining law and order in the District. During the meeting, he also reviewed the overall security situation, and measures taken to contain the spread of Covid-19 in the district.
He also laid emphasis on strengthening the police-public relations, service oriented policing and to gain the confidence and trust of community members and to have professional approach in dealing with counter insurgency operations.
