Shahgund Encounter: People asked to record statements before Inquiry Officer

Bandipora, Dec 7: Following Supreme Court guidelines, government has decided to record the statements of witnesses with regard to Shahgund Bandipora encounter that took place on 11th of October this year.

   At Shahgund a militant was killed in a gunfight.

  Assistant Commissioner Revenue Bandipora as per news agency Kashmir News Trust has issued a notification with regard to Shahgund encounter asking people rather witnesses if any to record their statements within 10 days from 8 to 17 December.

   “District Magistrate Bandipora has appointed Assistant Commissioner Revenue as inquiry officer for conducting inquiry into the incident which occurred at Shahgund on 11 October this year so as to ascertain the facts and circumstance related to the incident.”

   People who are in knowledge of the incident and are willing to record statements have been asked to appear before Assistant Commissioner Revenue from December 8 to December 17.
