November 10: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Srinagar Police have arrested two drug peddlers in Habba Kadal area on Srinagar recovered contraband substances from their possession.
Officers from Police station kralkhud at a checkpoint established in Habba Kadal intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK01T-1250 with two persons on board. They have been identified as Idrees Ahmad Bangee S/O Ghulam mohd

S/O Ghulam Rasool Bhat R/O Gangbug Sgr,During checking,officers were able to recover Brown Sugar from their possession,
Accordingly,a case vide FIR No. 37 U/
S 8/2021 under NDPS relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station kralkhud investigation has been set into motion.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law. Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace.
