An aim to provide an accessible, practical and free culinary training for the youth of the valley, who have flair for cooking, Wussan Battalion in collaboration with Institute of Hotel Management, Srinagar is organising an one month *Culinary course “Hunar Se Rojgar Tak” for the local youth of the valley at Kangan, Ganderbal As on date a total of 15 boys of the area are attending the course. At the end of the course, they will be given a Culinary Course Certificate from IHM, Srinagar.The main focus of the course is Tandoori Section, dishes based on tandoor cooking are being taught to the students during the course. Tandoori Chicken, Tandoori Fish, Paneer Tikka and Tandoori Parathas are amongst few cuisines being taught to the students. The students have shown keen interest to learn the culinary skills.This initiative undertaken by the Army is being appreciated by the local youth of the area as it would help them to get chef job in the local hotels at tourist places like Sonamarg. These courses will go a long way to provide them with livelihood.
