Ganderbal 22 Sept:A snap naka was established at Shadipora bridge by DO Police Post Shadipora Sub Inspector Gulzar Ahmad under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Ganderbal Dr. Abdul Majid-JKPS, during vehicle checking men on board in an Hyundai I-20 variant car bearing registration number JK 15A-9181 traveling from Narayan Bagh towards Shadipora bridge stole a glance of naka checking and instantly tried to flee from the naka point, meanwhile Police party rushed towards vehicle and halted the said vehicle tactically but men on board in above mentioned vehicle still tried to escape from the spot and Police party captured them swiftly.
During course of checking of the said vehicle 45 bottles of codeine phosphate has been recovered from the possession of trio peddlers namely Hilal Ahmad Mir S/O Ghulam Mohd Mir R/O Mazhama, Magam District Budgam, Irfan Ahmad Rather S/O Bashir Ahmad Rather R/O Archanderhama, Pattan District Baramulla and Muneeb Ahmad Beigh S/O Mohd Sultan Beigh R/O Ganastan, Sumbal District Bandipora. The said accused persons were apprehended and consignment along with vehicle were seized onspot.
In this regard a case FIR No. 178/2021 under section 8/21 NDPS act has been registered at Police Station Ganderbal and investigation is taken up.
