In continuation with the Op Sadhbhavna activities Women Cricket Tournament was started from 08 September 2021 till 12 September 2021.The tournament was played among six teams on a knockout basis. On the first day HMT Tigers took on Narbal and won the match while Dharmuna defeated Aripanthan. These matches were conducted at Dharmuna ground. Second day saw Budgam Fighters winning against Kunzer in a close match. Semi finals were conducted on 10 September and HMT Tigers and Budgam Fighters made it to the finals.The finals saw HMT Tigers taking on Budgam Fighters. In a fiercely played match Budgam Fighters while batting first scored a massive score of 96 runs in 15 overs. HMT Tigers gave a tough fight but lost by 6 runs in a very close match.It was a landmark tournament because for the first time an all girls sporting event was organised in the area. The players were extremely happy and thanked the Army for organizing an event which promotes women empowerment and also gives a platform to female sportspersons to excel in their sports. The locals too turned in large numbers to watch the match and appreciated the Army for promoting girls in the field of sports
