Mass awareness on nutritional aspects to be imparted
Poshan Abhiyan rally also flagged off
Poonch: As the integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) has organised a month-long Rashtriya Poshan Maah, the national nutrition mission in ICDS centres in the district.
On the ocassion, Programme Officer, ICDS, Dr. Mohd Tanveer Khan was the chief Guest. He inaugurated an awareness function of Poshan Maah 2021 at Dak Bungalow Poonch.
The month being commenced w.e.f 1st of September to 30th of september and Matru Vandana Saptah W.E.F 1st of September to 7th of September 2021.
At the onset CDPO Haveli Jahangir Khan welcomed the chief guest. He read out the introductory note on the ocassion.
Later, Chief Guest, thoroughly highlight the benefits of the schemes, Poshan abhiyaan and PMMVY. He impressed upon all field functionaries to work with full dedication so that eligible persons could be covered and benefits of the schemes could be extended to them.
Lastly, a Poshan rally was also taken out to spread the awareness regarding intake of balance diet by children, Adolescent girls, pregnant ladies and lactating mothers so that malnutrition, stunting, low birth weight and anaemia could be minimised among the targets groups.
The rally started from Dakbunglow poonch and culminated at Dungas.
On the ocassion, CDPO Jahangir Khan, District Social welfare officer, Shakeel Ahmed, Supervisors, Anganwar workers, Helpers besides other concerned officers/officals were present.
