DC Ganderbal inspects developmental works in Block Sherpathri  Interacts with PRIs, locals

GANDERBAL, AUGUST 28: The Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Krittika Jyotsna today took an extensive tour of block Sherpathri and inspected various works executed by Rural Development Department (RDD).
During the visit, the DC was accompanied by Additional District Development Commissioner, Pir Muzafar Ahmad, BDO Sherpathri, Sarpanchs and other officials of RDD.
The DC inspected development of playground at Govt. Girls Middle School Chanduna, construction of bridge on Tulmullah Nallah at Darkpora Kurg, construction of retaining wall and fencing around new grave yard at Shalabugh and construction of road from main road to Tulmullah Nallah at Darakpora Kurg
While inspecting the construction playground at Govt. Girls Middle School Chanduna, the BDO informed the DC that the development of ground is taken under Convergence with the Education Department at the cost of Rs 7.42 lakh.
During her visit to construction site of bridge at Darkpora Kurg, the BDO said that the bridge will link Block Sherpathri to Block Wakura and is taken under Rural Connectivity at the cost of Rs 25 lakh.
The DC stressed the BDO for on-time completion of all works in the block and directed him to speed up the progress of work on other ongoing works so that they get completed within set timelines.

Meanwhile, the DC also interacted with the locals and PRIs and enquired about the works taken under various schemes and work progress of ongoing development works in their areas. They also apprised her about certain issues and demands pertaining to their areas.
While replying to their issues, the DC said that purpose of visiting to Sherpathri block is to have firsthand appraisal about the progress of ongoing works and to assess the developmental needs in the area.
She maintained that District Administration is committed to ensure equal development of all areas of the district and to ensure development works/projects are completed within set timelines, the necessary instructions are already passed to the line departments, she added.
