NSS Unit and EBSB club of GDC Surankote and Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under the in aegis of Headquarter Counter Insurgency Force (ROMEO) conducted an event ” Shramdaan / Cleanliness Drive ” under Swatch Bharat Abhiyan on at Pir Gali . The aim of the event was to recognize that a healthy environment is the foundation for a stable and productive society and to ensure that for the well – being of present and future generations , we all must participate to protect, conserve, and efficiently manage our natural resources. The locals were educated in details about the different type of conservation methods A total No 23 NSS volunteers along with Prof Khaleeq Ahmed NSS Programme Officer and 10 Prominent personalities attended the event. IA , NSS students & civ population also wholeheartedly cleared the area and surroundings of all litter waste material and plastic waste. Indian Army advised locals to take steps to protect and restore our natural wildlife habitats Locals praised gracious gesture which has further augmented the goodwill of the Army in the region.
