The finals of the Md Ismail, MVC Volleyball Championship was played at the Army Goodwill School, Margund ground. The teams which qualified for the finals were Chattergul B and Ganderbal. Both the teams displayed exemplary sportsmanship and energy and gave each other a run for their skills and tactics. The fight was neck to neck with each team outdoing the other and making each other fight tooth and nail for each and every point.
But at the end the team with the best players and undefeatable energy won. Chattergul B defeated Ganderbal by 25-19, 22-25, 27-26, 26-24 and took away the Championship Trophy, gold medals and a cash prize of ₹20,000. The runners up took home silver medals and a cash prize of ₹10,000. At the end everyone sang the National Anthem and the grounds resounded with BHARAT MATA KI JAI.
