1. In continuation with its endeavour towards constructive engagement of the youth, a inter village ‘Soccer Tournament’ was organised between the 36 teams of local youth by BadampuraArmy Camp. The event was kicked off from 26 Jun 21.The event witnessed an active participation by youth of BADAMPURA village who thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Finals was played on 11 Aug 21 between Batwina and Wakura village teams and finally team Wakura won the tournament in Penalty shootout by 3-2. Both the teams awarded with trophies and cash reward.
2. The event was witnessed by various social and political leaders of Ganderbal town incl local villagers approx 500 were present. Army’s continued support in every sphere of their lives, which will ultimately boost the bonhomie between the Army and local Awaam.
